Germinal busting out all over!

Nous sommes le
4 Germinal, An 214

We have reached the fatal month of Germinal, and the French have flipped their lids again. How sweetly ironic that the rioters chose today to sack the EHESS, or École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences), source of so much of the postmodernist guff that has helped bring France to its knees. Present and past faculty have included Pierre Bourdieu, Cornelius Castoriadis, Annie Cohen-Solal, Jacques Derrida, Marc Ferro, Maurice Godelier, Jacques Le Goff, Jacques Mehler, Jean-Claude Schmitt, and Alain Touraine, among other learned blatherers.

On a not entirely unrelated topic, see (link) an excellent article in Spiked on the nonsense of "cultural heritage."
